Dr. Nissan graduated with honors from the University of Texas, Austin, Texas, and completed his medical education at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine/Midwestern University. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at Methodist Hospital in Dallas, Texas, and served as chief resident from 2001-2002. He is board certified in internal medicine. He is a member of the American College of Physicians, National Headache Foundation, and American Headache Society.
Dr. Nissan is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at The Chicago Medical School of Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in North Chicago, IL. He joined the staff of the Diamond Headache Clinic in 2003 and is currently an attending physician in internal medicine at Saint Joseph Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. His practice incorporates both outpatient and inpatient management of migraine, cluster, and chronic daily headache patients.
Dr. Nissan is the Director of Research for the clinic and has conducted clinical trials on several headache medications and has lectured on headache topics to doctors and to the general public. He also has published articles on headache for both the public and medical journals. Dr. Nissan and his wife Jennifer are the proud parents of a son, Jason. |
